Pre Wedding Shoots

Also known as engagement shoots, pre-wedding sessions celebrate your relationship before your wedding day. Whether you prefer romantic country estates, natural surroundings or contemporary editorial portraits, we’ll create images that reflect your personality and style as a couple.

It’s also a wonderful opportunity to feel more comfortable in front of the camera and get to know our approach, helping you feel relaxed and confident when your wedding day arrives.

Time and Duration

Your pre-wedding shoot lasts 90 minutes, giving us time to explore your chosen location, experiment with different compositions and create a beautiful variety of photographs.

To make the most of your session, we kindly ask you to arrive at the agreed meeting point on time. Late arrival may reduce the time available for photography.

Shoots are available Monday to Thursday and some weekends. If you would like extra time, we’ll be happy to discuss an extension, subject to availability and our standard additional rate.

We recommend arriving a few minutes early to settle in and discuss any final ideas.

Choosing the Right Location

Your chosen location helps tell your story and gives your photographs their own character. Whether you prefer elegant historic houses, landscaped gardens, woodland or striking architecture, we’ll help you consider settings that complement your style.

Some locations require permission for professional photography, charge permit fees or have restrictions on access and equipment. You are responsible for arranging any necessary permissions and covering applicable location fees, but we’re happy to help you understand what may be required.

Timing can also make a difference. Some locations are quieter on particular days or offer better lighting at certain times. For example, Chiswick House may be a better choice on a Monday, when the shop is closed and there may be fewer distractions from signage. Depending on your chosen location, additional travel expenses or travel time charges may apply. Any applicable costs will be discussed with you in advance.

After Your Pre-Wedding Shoot

Following your session, we’ll prepare an initial selection of photographs for you to browse and choose your favourites.

Your package includes professional post-production of up to 15 selected photographs. Each image will be carefully refined, with adjustments to colour, exposure and contrast to achieve the polished finish that reflects our photographic style.

The initial selection is provided to help you choose your favourite images. As these previews are unedited, we kindly ask that you do not share, copy or publish them. Only your final, professionally edited photographs should be used or shared.

Please allow up to 20 days for us to prepare your finished collection.

Weather and Rescheduling

Outdoor photography is weather-dependent. Please check the forecast the day before your session and contact us early if persistent rain or poor weather is expected.

Once the shoot has started, rescheduling due to rain is not possible. Where practical, consider a location with sheltered areas or suitable alternatives, subject to availability and permissions.
